Presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a growing world-wide audience via electronic and print media; with special emphasis on the systematic teaching of God’s Word that leads listeners from conversion toward spiritual maturity.
Hope for Today is produced and presented by Heralds of Hope with teaching by the late Dr D J Otis Yoder. Hope for Today presents the positive alternative in Jesus Christ to all men in a 15-minute programme designed for international outreach.

Dr. J. Otis Yoder, a former college professor, founded Heralds of Hope, Inc., the organisation behind the Hope for Today programmes, in 1967. Leaving the confines of the classroom, he embraced radio ministry to reach a world without walls. From June 1968 until March 2000, he served as the Bible teacher on the radio. Dr. Yoder passed away on 18 July 2003.

In July 1994, Pastor J. Mark Horst became part of Heralds of Hope. For six years, he was mentored by the late Dr. J. Otis Yoder to prepare as his successor. After this period, he was ordained into the ministry in May 2001 and is now the current Bible teacher on Hope for Today.
