The main aim of the programme is to help pastors and church leaders to think biblically and to preach the message of the Bible with greater clarity. In addition to studies that lead directly to sermons, Serving Today has also dealt with a number of doctrinal subjects as well as issues of a pastoral and leadership nature.
Derek French has been a valued member of the GBM Radio team for 30 years. Although he officially retired in 2012, Derek continued to support Andrew Cook’s Serving Today ministry one day a week. Serving Today provides clear, biblical teaching to church leaders and Christians across Africa and beyond. Derek has a deep passion for gospel work in Zimbabwe, a country he has visited many times. He also serves as a trustee of the Zimbabwe Partnership Trust. We give thanks for Derek’s faithful service to the Lord and pray for God’s ongoing blessing and support for him and his wife, Jacki.
Andrew has been with the GBM radio team since 2004. His main interest is producing audio material that applies biblical truth to contemporary issues. He oversees production of Serving Today, the programme for pastors and church leaders.
Grace Baptist MissionGrace Baptist Mission is a church-based mission, helping Grace Baptist churches to support and care for their missionaries worldwide.
We are based in the United Kingdom, with our Mission Centre in Abingdon, and we work with local churches to support their missionaries in more than a dozen countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
We also have a radio ministry producing Bible-teaching programmes for listeners in both English and French, based in our radio studios in Abingdon and broadcast over numerous Christian radio stations worldwide.
