Sharing the common passion to preach Christ and to ensure that no one misses the opportunity to hear about God’s saving grace, Stuart and Jill Briscoe makes their Bible teaching available across the world through on-air and online media ministry ‘Telling the Truth’.
Born in the north of England in 1930, Stuart Briscoe began preaching at the age of 17 before embarking on a banking career and serving in the Royal Marines during the Korean War. Over his lifetime, he ministered on every continent, pastored a church for 30 years, wrote over 40 books, and founded the worldwide daily media ministry, Telling the Truth. Married to Jill for more than 59 years, they had three children and 13 grandchildren. Stuart passed away in August 2022, but his legacy of witty and timeless teaching continues through Telling the Truth.
Born in Liverpool, England, in 1935, Jill Briscoe was educated at Cambridge and taught school for several years before marrying Stuart and raising their three children. Alongside her husband, she shared in ministry with Torchbearers and pastored a church in the United States for 30 years. Jill has authored over 40 books, travelled to every continent to teach and encourage, served on the boards of Christianity Today and World Relief, and founded Just Between Us, a Christian magazine for women. She is regularly heard on the global media ministry Telling the Truth and proudly known as “Nana” by her 13 grandchildren.
