The longest-running Christian music countdown show in the world, The Countdown Magazine, hosted by William Ryan, is a 2-hour syndicated radio show that counts down the top 20 Christian songs each week. Besides featuring the biggest Top 20 songs of the week, it includes artist interviews, behind-the-scenes Christian music news, and interactive segments like the ‘Future Fan Favorite,’ where listeners can vote for their favourite song.
Originally launched by the legendary Jon Rivers in 1985, 20 The Countdown Magazine has been hosted by William Ryan, since 2019, after Jon’s retirement. They first met in 1998 while working at KLTY-FM in Dallas, TX. where they co-hosted the morning show for several years. Jon hired William fresh out of high school to produce his morning to produce his morning show, teaching him about Christian music and radio programming. Despite Jon leaving KLTY around 2001 to join another Christian radio station, the two remained close friends. Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, William now lives in Roanoke, TX with his wife, Christy, and their college-age twins, Bailey and Morgan. Besides hosting 20 The Countdown Magazine, he owns a large wedding and events production company called ‘It’s Your Night Entertainment’.
