Dr Erwin LutzerPastor Lutzer was born and reared near Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He became Senior Pastor in 1980, and served in that role for 36 years. On May 22, 2016, after 36 years of faithful service as Senior Pastor of The Moody Church, Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer transitioned to the role of Pastor Emeritus.
In this role he acts as a “goodwill ambassador” for The Moody Church, continuing his broadcast, speaking, and writing ministry in Chicago and around the world. He hosts three radio programmes, The Moody Church Hour, Songs in the Night, and Running to Win, that are broadcast globally. He is also the author of many books. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in the Chicago area.
