Dr. J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) is best known for his “Thru the Bible” radio broadcasts. He served as pastor of the Church of the Open Door in Los Angeles for twenty-one years and was also a teacher, lecturer, and author. His degrees include a B.D. from Columbia Theological Seminary, a Th. M. and a Th. D. from Dallas Theological Seminary.
